ドイツの方より依頼をいただいた作品、「舞」。

“Dance” which is requested by the couple living in Germany.

ステージデザイナーの旦那様への誕生日プレゼントとして
書を贈りたいという奥様からの依頼を、知人からいただきました。
奥様も舞台女優で、お二人とも日本の文化に大きな関心を持っている方々だそう。
どんな言葉が良いか、というところからディスカッションさせていただき、
お二人が共有する言葉「舞」という一文字をお贈りしよう、
そして、和のテイストをしっかり出すために掛け軸に表装しようということで書き上がった作品です。
これからも、そこにある「思い」をしっかりと書き続けていきます。

It was a birthday gift for the husband who works as a stage designer by his wife.
Her work is also related to “stage”, which is a stage actress
and they have great interest in Japanese culture.
I discussed about the word “舞(Mai), Dance”,
then we thought it is the best word for them
because they can share common values by that word.

Moreover, I mounted it on very Japanese style “kakejiku”.

I was very grad to express their “heart” by Japanese word art.

I will keep doing what I has been doing…
